Psychotherapist working in London. Always a big aviation fan, my childhood ambition was to be an RAF pilot like my uncle Eric. I was awarded an RAF Flying Scholarship when I was 17 and did 32 hours pilot training, but never made it into the RAF.
When my father died a couple of years ago i discovered a treasure trove of old family photos, including lots of Eric, plus letters and postcards, and his diary from 1941. I have since unearthed his entire operational history and have put together a Facebook tribute page that I regularly update with posts from the relevant dates in 1941, 42 and 43. Eric lost his life in an accident on 14th May 1943 when his oxygen apparently froze at high altitude and he dived into the English Channel.
